"Saved by the Bell" is officially back!

A reboot of the popular '90s television series is set to premiere on NBC's streaming app "Peacock" on Wednesday, November 25, more than three decades after the original aired.

In the updated revival, Mario Lopez's character, A.C. Slater, is now the gym teacher of Bayside High. Meanwhile, Mark-Paul Gosselaar's character, Zack Morris, is the governor of California, who decides to close many of the state’s low-income schools. He then proposes sending the students who are impacted to well-funded schools like Bayside, which gives his son, Mac (Mitchell Hoog), and Jessie's (Elizabeth Berkley's) son, Jamie, a reality check.

Returning characters the original series include Max (Ed Alonzo) and Kelly Kapowski (Tiffani Thiessen).

The sitcom aired on NBC from 1989 to 1993 with a sequel, “Saved by the Bell: The College Years,” airing briefly from 1993 to 1994.
