Move That Bus! HGTV Releases First Look at 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition' Reboot

November 22, 2019

Get ready to yell “move that bus” again because the biggest renovation show on the market is making a comeback!

It’s been 7 years since we’ve had any feel-good moments courtesy of the former ABC mainstay, but that’s all in the past, as “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” is gearing up for a brand new season.

The highly anticipated return to television has been in the works since January 2019 when the news was first teased.

Now, the first trailer of the HGTV reboot will move you to tears.

“Modern Family’s” Jesse Tyler Ferguson steps in as host to deliver dream homes to those who need it most.

But while the network and the host have changed, the concept remains the same.

The trailer reveals that everything you love about the series is returning – deserving families that are facing hardships will be getting their homes renovated by a team of experts who create customized living spaces with their specific needs in mind.

"It's such a privilege to be able to meet people who need something and be able to give them that thing that they need," Ferguson says in the trailer as families fight back tears upon seeing their new homes.

The trailer also teases a slew of amazing guests, and we see a few of them step off the bus including country singer LeAnn Rhimes, “So You Think You Can Dance” judge Derek Hough, “black-ish” actor Anthony Andersen, and “Flip or Flop’s” Tarek El Moussa.

The new season of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” premieres February 16, 2020 only on HGTV and HGTV Go.

The original "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" aired on ABC from 2003 to 2012 with host Ty Pennington.
