Ryman Hospitality Properties will open Opry City Stage in New York’s Times Square in April. Considered the Grand Ole Opry’s first “home away from home.”
The four-level venue will share Nashville food and music, including live performances and simulcasts of Opry shows. Plus a bar, restaurant and listening room featuring curated performances from the Bluebird Cafe, along with a retail store.
I usually go up to New York twice a year so this is very cool. Especially, because so many people come in and out of the big apple from all over so it’s a great way to highlight Nashville and country music. Hopefully, it lasts longer than the Motown Cafe did in NYC. I remember eating there once while enjoying live music from the famed record label but it only hung around a few years.
